A modern system has recently been installed for safe, comfortable and effortless bathing. All residents have access to a variety of comfortable rooms. These include three lounges, an air-conditioned garden room, a fully licensed bar and a reading area. There is an electronic organ for those residents wishing to play. Beautifully presented and well-stocked gardens give pleasure to residents, families and neighbours alike and since 2008, Hedges House has been awarded coveted top prizes in both the Lytham in Bloom and Royal Horticultural Society National Awards.
A stimulating programme of daily activites is organised for those wishing to take part. Birthdays, Christmas and national events are always celebrated when families and friends are made most welcome. Excursions, drives in the country and visits to local garden centres are regularly organised and residents are encouraged to take advantage of these social activities.
In spring and summer, garden events such as barbecues and ‘champagne and strawberry afternoons’ are thrown, giving way in autumn and winter to indoor gatherings, including Christmas parties and our very popular Carol Service.
Our days out to Garden Centres, the Ribble Valley, Knowsley Safari Park and of course, the famous Blackpool Illuminations, are always popular.
